Gift / Donation / Helping Plan
Member-to-member direct contribution structure. Often cycle-based (like a Sou-Sou or rotating savings club), where members "gift" the upline and advance through tiers.
⚠️ Important upfront
Gift / donation plans occupy a legal grey area in many jurisdictions. We review every deployment for local compliance. Pure money-chain gifting with no product and no economic value is typically illegal (pyramid scheme). Compliant gifting plans include:
- Real product/service exchange
- Educational value
- Religious / cultural cooperation (where legally recognized)
- Mutual-aid networks in jurisdictions that explicitly allow them
Structure (legal variant)
- Member joins at an entry tier by "gifting" a set amount to their upline
- Accumulates gifts from downline members
- After reaching target gifts received, "cycles" to next tier
- New tier requires a larger gift-out, but receives larger gifts-in
- Continues to highest tier (often called "Blossom", "Harvest", or similar)
Commission / gift flow
- Direct gift: downline → upline (defined % or fixed amount)
- Cycle bonus: when you reach target receivers
- Upgrade: promoted to next tier
Cloud MLM features for gifting plans
- KYC required for compliance
- Audit trail of every gift transaction
- Tax documentation per jurisdiction
- Compliance dashboard showing suspicious patterns
Variants
- Sou-Sou Flower, cycle through "Bud → Blossom → Bloom"
- 8-Ball Gifting (legacy, most jurisdictions reject)
- Mutual-Aid Network, jurisdiction-permissive variant
- Charity / Cause-linked, part of gift goes to declared charity
Our recommendation
If you're considering a gift / donation plan, engage with us early for a legal-structure review BEFORE building. We've seen many gifting models that don't survive regulatory scrutiny. Better to design compliant from day 1.
